May 2000 Salisbury International Festival Making a Song and Dance A song writing project with 100 schoolchildren for the opening night of the festival with BTN concert

Sept 2000 Singapore Three concerts for the British Council

Oct 2000 Nordic Black Theatre, Oslo Journeys project with 25 theatre students

Jan 2001 St.George’s Brandon Hill, Bristol Making a Song and Dance. Culmination of three year project with 25 teenagers from two local schools.

May 2001 ‘A Sharp Intake of Music’ at Battersea Arts Centre ‘What’s for Dinner?’ 3 shows of improvised music and storytelling with actor Niall Ashdown

June 2001 Salisbury International Festival Elements of Percussion A percussion project with 20 students from Salisbury College

Sept 2001 Sydney Opera House - The Asia-Pacific Orchestra Summit BTN to appear as special guests for workshops, talks, and a concert.

January 2002 Schloss Elmau 4 days in Germany to write new music and give a concert

February 2002 Marathon All Day Improvisation at the Royal Festival Hall Ballroom for 11.5 hours without a break! Special guests included Julian Joseph, Cleveland Watkiss, Mark Antony Turnage, Marque Gilmore and Paul Clarvis
Tour of 17 community venues in London, including schools, libraries, Pentonville Prison, the Evergreen Old Persons Club, a Malcolm Sargent home for children in remission from cancer, and Royal College of Music.
Performances in Bush Hall London, including 3 world premieres by Fraser Trainer, Dave Maric and Nikki Yeoh, and a major song-writing project with teenagers funded by the National Foundation for Youth Music, supported by Overtones.

May 2006 Cologne first phase of project with Gürzenich Orchestra and Köln Philharmonic Hall preparing for their 20th anniversary celebrations, to include new concerto by Fraser Trainer for BTN and orchestra.

June 2006 London Festival of Art and Mind – and evening of improvisations based on etchings inspired by grain surgery by Susan Aldworth.

August 2006 Cologne second phase of project with Gürzenich Orchestra and Köln Philharmonic Hall

September 2006 Cologne final phase of project with Gürzenich Orchestra and Köln Philharmonic Hall, including world premiere of Fraser Trainer’s concerto for BTN and orchestra, Gadget, and music written by BTN, orchestral members, and students from Musikschule and Hochschule.

October 2006  Champs Hill recording of CD for FMR of improvised music, based on winners of a BBC Music Magazine competition to give inspiring ideas to use as improvisation.

February 2007 Leicester Richard Attenborough Centre, Enough Space For Everyone, a composition project for local musical school students, and young adults with special needs.

March 2007 Salisbury Arts Centre project with Howard Moody and the Sarum Orchestra. to write new work.

May 2007 Cologne Performance in the Philharmonie of Gadget by Fraser Trainer with the Gurzenich Orchestra and Markus Stenz, and improvisation with young people, the Gurzenich Ensemble and the full orchestra, for closing concert of the Köln Trienalle.

July 2007 Lichfield Festival 10th Anniversary Project at the festival where we started
